Audrain County Release Mugshot Records
A booking photo records appearance at the time an agency books a person. It is not proof of guilt, case outcome, or current custody. Release also does not erase the underlying booking event. The live Audrain MobilePatrol roster may stop showing a name after custody ends, while the Sheriff, court, or another agency may retain records under a different schedule. A photo must be matched to the correct booking number, date, and person.
Missouri § 610.100 governs arrest and incident records, but the law does not make every part of a jail file open in every case. Investigative, juvenile, sealed, expunged, victim, medical, and other protected material may be closed or redacted. A focused request for the booking photograph and segregable open fields gives the records custodian a clear record to review.

Where Audrain Release Mugshots Appear
No single official tool covers every Audrain County booking photo. The Sheriff’s app concerns current jail custody. MODOC holds state-prison records, not the county booking image. The Missouri State Highway Patrol registry applies only to people who fall within registration laws. Selected official statements or news reports may include an image, but neither source promises a full archive.

MOVANS is a custody-notification channel, not a documented Audrain photo archive. A custody alert can help identify the event to request, yet it should not be cited as proof that a displayed image is the county booking photo.
Audrain MobilePatrol Mugshot Limits
The Audrain Sheriff inmate page sends users to MobilePatrol and describes it only as a roster of current inmates. The page provides no desktop version, no released-photo archive, no photo-retention period, and no confirmed statement that Audrain entries display a booking image. Features enabled by another sheriff cannot be imputed to Audrain County.
The county page also says MobilePatrol is available on Apple while Android is under development. A live Google Play listing now exists, which shows the Sheriff page is stale. That mismatch is the distinctive reason to inspect the current agency screen before describing its fields. It does not prove the app now has Audrain photos or recent-release views.
A person’s disappearance from MobilePatrol proves neither release nor photo deletion. The person may have bonded out, completed local time, transferred to MODOC, moved on another warrant, or dropped during a feed interruption. Request an Audrain Booking Mugshot
The Sheriff records-request form is the direct county channel. Ask for an existing record, not an explanation or a new photo list. Identify the booking with a full name, booking date or date range, and booking number when known. Do not include a Social Security number. The form allows email and a copy choice.
- Confirm the correct person and booking through the Sheriff, MOVANS, or Case.net. Separate a county-jail booking from later MODOC custody.
- State that the request seeks the booking photograph tied to that booking, plus enough booking identifiers to match it.
- Ask for segregable open portions if part of the record is closed, and request the legal basis for any withholding.
- Submit the form and watch for the response. The Sheriff says it will respond by the end of the third business day, excluding weekends and holidays.
- Request a cost estimate. Payment is due before release of records, but the Sheriff publishes no exact photo fee.
A response deadline is not a guarantee that the photograph will be produced by that date. Under § 610.023, the agency may explain why access is not immediate and give the earliest production time. Redaction, closure, record location, and payment can affect delivery. The full Audrain County release-record path can supply the identifiers needed for a narrow request.
Missouri’s fee rules allow charges for copies, duplication labor, research time, and some media costs within statutory limits. The Audrain Sheriff does not post a special booking-photo price. Asking for an estimate and requesting electronic delivery when available can keep the scope clear. A request should not demand that staff create a new photo gallery or released-person list that the office does not already maintain.
MODOC Audrain Release Photographs
A MODOC image belongs to a state correctional record. It is not interchangeable with the photo taken during an Audrain County Jail booking. The active MODOC public search covers people still in prison or on active probation or parole, and it expressly excludes fully discharged people. The live detail page’s photo field was not verified during research, so a public photo cannot be promised.
For a previously incarcerated person, MODOC’s records-retention schedule describes penitentiary-pack requests that may involve a picture, fingerprints, sentence, and judgment. A narrow request can be sent through the agency’s Sunshine process. The schedule also retains offender discharge files for a long period, but protected medical, security, juvenile, and sealed parts remain subject to closure.
The Audrain Sheriff registry explanation points to the Missouri registry system. For a covered registrant, § 589.402 authorizes a public photograph and a release or supervision-placement date. That registry is not a universal released-inmate mugshot search. Absence has no useful meaning for a person who is not legally required to register.

A state photo should be described by its own source and date. The county booking image, MODOC institutional picture, and registry photograph can show the same person at different points. Ask for the image connected to the event being verified. If the request concerns an Audrain jail booking, send it to the Sheriff. If it concerns state incarceration, use MODOC. This agency-by-agency split avoids attaching the wrong image to a release record.
Audrain Mugshots in Public Reports
The Sheriff’s social posts and press material may include selected incident photos. Local news outlets may also publish an agency-supplied image or another photo in a newsworthy case. Neither channel is a systematic booking archive. A news image may show a person at another time, and publication does not prove release status, case result, or that the image came from the Audrain booking.
Commercial mugshot and data-aggregation sites form another category, but they are not an endorsed source. Records can be old, identities can be mismatched, and the publisher may not reflect an expungement or later case outcome. No commercial publisher link belongs in an official discovery path. Verify the arrest, booking, photo source, and custody event through government records instead.
When an image appears outside an official source, note its stated date and source. Then compare it with the Sheriff booking identifier or MODOC record. A visual resemblance alone is not enough to establish identity.
Also separate the image from the legal event it accompanies. A Sheriff press release may concern an arrest before the jail booking. A MODOC image may come from later state reception. A registry photograph may have been updated after release. The correct description names the agency, record type, and date rather than calling every official-looking image an Audrain County Jail mugshot.
Audrain Mugshot Removal Rules
Missouri § 407.1150 is an anti-pay-to-remove law. It bars a publisher or disseminator of criminal-record information, including a booking photograph, from soliciting or accepting payment from the person to remove or correct that material. It is not a ban on publication, does not make a photograph public, and does not order the Audrain Sheriff to post every photo.
An expungement under Missouri law can close government records according to the order and statute. It does not justify promising that every copy already distributed to news or other sources will vanish. A person seeking correction or closure should start with the agency that controls the official record and provide the relevant court order. The source can explain what it can change and what remains legally retained.
Audrain’s current-only app has no published post-release photo-retention rule. MODOC uses a separate records schedule, and court records have their own access rules. One source changing or closing its record does not prove that another source has completed the same action. Keep copies of the order and correspondence, and address each official custodian by the record it controls.
No Audrain-specific automatic takedown policy, publication change, or photo fee was found. A requester should not infer one from another Missouri county’s practice. Ask the Sheriff what record exists, what part is open, and what order or law controls any closure.
